WIP: First Major Project

Ever since I started this crazy hobby, I only built OOTB kits. Build 'em, top coat, and display. That's my daily routine. There are several times that I handpaint my kits but I only painted to detailed the parts not paint the whole kit. But now for the 1st time in my gunpla career, I'm going to the next level. :D  This will be my 1st major project that I'm going to build. Kit bash, scratch build, scribe, paint, and diorama. I'm going to do it.

To be honest, I've been working on a project for the past few weeks but sadly, I was not able to finish it. I was planning to enter it to the GBWC 2011 contest but seeing my project half finished and has no diorama, I resigned to giving up. I scrap the whole project and started a new one. This time I've got time with my side. I'm planning to enter it in MAC Forum's 2012 and GBWC 2012 :))

First and foremost, I can't do the project now because if I am going to enter it in MAC's 2012, I must start my wip after Jan. 1, 2012. But what I can do now is gather the materials needed and plan, plan, plan. So without further ado, here are my ideas.

I am going to kit bash this with Gafran

Why did I choose Gafran? His body is almost like an Eva which is humanoid.
This will be the main weapon.
And this will be the ideal diorama.

There you have it. I hope that I will able to do it. Wish me luck! Thanks for viewing! :D

First Post! :D

Hi and welcome to my simple blog! First and foremost, let me introduce myself. The name is Lacort Summers. It's not my real name actually, that is just my internet name (lol :D) Anyway most of the things that I would like to post here are all about my hobbies, most especially gunplamo or Gundam Plastic Model.

I'm just a regular OOTB (Out Of The Box) builder. I don't do mods and I don't paint my kits but I do paint some details and apply decals  to make the kit look more unique. Lastly, I always apply flat top coat to my kits to eliminate the plastic shine and to seal the paint, panel lines and decals. That's pretty much my routine when I build gundam kits.
